When I was in Jaipur recently, I didn’t plan to go around clicking pictures of doors…Yes, doors! Yet somehow, from the grand gateways of City Palace to the small wooden doors tucked inside narrow lanes of the Pink City, that’s exactly what I ended up doing.
There’s something about Jaipur’s doors — the colours, the carvings, the way they stand proudly against the walls full of artwork — that makes you stop and stare. Some were exquisite even today with bright colours and brass studs, some faded with time but full of character. Even the faded paint and old locks seemed to tell a story of their own.
Each door felt alive, as if it had seen hundreds of people pass through it, each leaving behind a tiny piece of their story. I instinctively clicked many photos, not just to remember the trip, but to capture the soul of Jaipur — through its doors. After all, these were not just entryways; but silent witnesses to time, tradition, and life passing by.
So here they are — a few doors from the Paris of India - each one welcoming, guarding, and speaking in its own silent language….

Wow..that's amazing..very beautiful they are! Thanks for sharing! :)
